DBB Wool Baitfish size 2

This little bait fish swims suspends and catches fish. My family has been tying a variation of this fly for over 20 years and is a favorite when the big stripper hit the river. At over 2.5 inches tied on a strong size 2 hook this bait was made to get big fish to the boat. The wool design allows for free body movement with enough rigidity to keep it all together. 

Tip: always carry Velcro in your box and if your wool baitfish gets a little bent out of shape use it to pull him back in. We use tough wool so brush hard.
